Welcome to Episode 2!
I recently returned from studying weaving under Beth Ross Johnson for two months at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. Beth invited Melissa Weaver Dunning to visit and lead a traditional Scottish waulking (to full wool blankets we had made.) Melissa led the waulking with traditional Scottish and Irish songs and wonderful weaving stories. This episode is an edited audio recording of the waulking.

Welcome to Episode 1. This episode has three segments:
- An interview with weaver, videomaker and painter, Beryl Korot
- A segment about the quantum properties of the color Han Purple
- A brief history & sound collage of Ida Mills, a 19th century weaving mill in Troy, New York
With the links above you can download or listen to Episode 1.
During my interview with Beryl Korot, she described for me Text and Commentary, an artwork she created in the 1970’s that combines weaving and video. She brought a copy of the original score for this piece to share with me. The images below are the Text and Commentary video score.
